Sandra Anderson

View this Collection


Sandra Anderson paints primarily on location, painting landscapes and figures in the plein air tradition. Raised in L. A., Sandra earned her BFA from the University of CA at Fullerton. The artist now resides in Marietta, GA. and paints in oils, pastels and acrylics, and sculpts baroque-style angels. She served as a contractor to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York for special exhibitions and organizes and participates in plein air events nationally. Her work is awarded and collected nationally.

 

 


David Barranti

David Barranti received his art training under the private tutelage of his father (6 yrs), Wen Ze Chen (12 yrs.), and William Herring (6 yrs.)  His representational gouache and oil paintings of landscapes and figures are often an explosion of color in his self-expressive style, putting much of his own creativity into the works as he does their subjects. Past president of the Atlanta Artist Center, David developed and has taught Self Expression classes for the past 12 years at Carpenter's House (a mission), Atlanta. He has taught a Master Class in Drawing in Cloudcroft, NM for the past 7 years. David lives in Blue Ridge, GA, is the recipient of numerous awards and his work is in many private and corporate collections here and abroad. Steinway Piano has selected David as their exclusive visual artist for their new Music Gallery in Alpharetta, GA.

 

 


Wen Ze Chen

Wen Ze Chen received his Bachelor's Degree in Art and Craft from College of Art, Su Zhou University in China. Immigrating to the Atlanta in the early 90's, Mr. Chen has continued his highly recognized work and has won awards, been published and has been highly collected.  His work has appeared in and on the covers of many publications and exhibitions here and in China, and is represented by galleries throughout the United States.  Chen paints in oil and gouache and lives with his wife and 2 children in GA.

 

 


Pat Aube Gray

National award-winning artist, Pat Aube Gray, is a self-taught realist striving for artistic excellence.  Whether drawing or painting portraits, figuratives, landscapes, or still-lifes, the emphasis is always on light and form with clarity of concept.  Equally comfortable with oil and watercolor, the artist also explores pastel, egg tempera and casein. In recent years, Pat's has done short-term study with contemporary masters Daniel Greene, Burton Silverman, David Leffel, Richard Whitney, and Tony Ryder.

 

 


Lisa Gleim Jonas

A graduate of the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Atlanta artist Lisa Gleim Jonas has recently studied under Cedric and Joanette Egeli, Margaret C. Baumgaertner and John de la Vega. She believes "an artist's education is never-ending."  Strongly influenced by John Singer Sargent, Mary Cassatt, and Cecilia Beaux, this award winning painter paints oil and pastel landscapes, still lifes and portraits, of both people and animals. In 2004, she became a member of the Artist's Registry of the American Kennel Club's Museum of the Dog.

 

 


Margo Locke

Creating wonderful, sometimes whimsical, always engaging images in watercolor in a style truly her own, Margo Locke records the world around her in her rural  North Carolina community. A school teacher whose true passion is painting in watercolor, Margo rushes home each day to get back to painting!  This is what we call Feel-Good Art!  

 

 


Siva Nyayapathi

Siva believes that art is innate in humans as it is a natural means of communication. As a boy he learned drawing and watercolor painting from his father and later, while pursuing studies in engineering, he began painting in oils. He has been in many exhibitions and has won various awards, and has continued his studies with David Leffel, Burton Silverman, Daniel Greene, Jim Schell, and Michael Shane Neal.

 

 


K. Ashley Pittman

K. Ashkey Pittman (Kashley) abandoned the corporate world and entrepeneurship for a new creative path in painting with acrylics.  With a BBA from Georgia State, he revisited academia, this time at the Atlanta College of Art with a vision of refining his work.  Kashley's work ranges from abstract to traditional landscapes, still lifes and portraits.  A recent exploration of various themes in subject matter brought him to his Limited Edition Cocktail Series, hand embellished giclees on canvas. 

 

 

 


Bill Suttles

North Georgia artist, Bill Suttles, graduated in 1949 from Chicago's American Academy followed by 30 years in commercial art. When he retired he began
painting full time, producing vibrant works in gouache, oil and pastel. drawing on the Blue Ridge Mountains and travel destinations for inspiration. Suttles' work is
alive with color and his sure strokes and loosely rendered style immediately capture the feeling of a place or the people he paints. His work is highly collected and is in many collections her and abroad.

 

 

 


Duane Wolford

With a BFA in drawing and printmaking from Atlanta College of Art, and a Graphic Design degree from Portfolio Center, Duane Wolford is a realist who believes drawing and still life are the foundation of all art. Relying on his academic training and the old masters for both skill and inspiration, he is dedicated to "truth" and in truth there are details.  His realistic style is one which he, in his 30's, felt wise enough to discern and says now, "I’m confident the road I’m on is mine."
